Hello again. I really don't know if I expect anyone to read this or not. I am hoping for something, even if it is just advice. So here it goes. I have this charater in my head that I am writing a story about. I want to have her drawn, but am having absolutely no luck. I have had some commissions done of her recently. I would love to have more done, but some of the other artists I am looking at are out of my price range right now. I am saving up for it though. I eventually want to have several artists draw her and pick the one I like the best to commission to draw the rest of the characters from the story as well. That is my ultimate goal. I wanted to try to have a contest, but I don't know. I don't have anything to give as prizes. Anyway!
I would draw her myself but I am no good at drawing people or much of anything else for that matter. I am going to try to draw some aspects of her but not sure how good they will be. Hopefully I'll be able to use those in the future. For now though I rely on the good people of DA. So with no further ado let me introduce you to Nyx Lunae:
Nyx Lunae is a charater from a story I am working on. She is a new race combined of two others, one elven and one cat like. It is easy for me to see her in my head but I want other people to be able to see her as well. Sometimes I find it a bit hard to get my description of her across, but my friend helped me and I think this is a good detailed description of her without being too elaborate.
Her physical features are as follows
She is 5 foot 2 inches tall, weighs about 115 pounds. She has a petite athletic build with medium musculature with a toned stomach (slightly visible six pack). Her measurements are 36C-24-34. She has a golden bronze tan. She has a petite face which tends toward asian facial features with eyes slightly more upturned and cat like. She has long eyelashes and thin sculpted eyebrows which are a bluish gray color. Her irises are blue with red pupils. Her pupils instead of being round like a humans are a cross shape (like two cats eyes one horizontal and one vertical) and her eyes dialate similar to a cat's. Her hair is a bright blue color at the roots and fades to a bluish gray color at the tips. It also has strands of metallic silver "highlights". Her hairstyle in front is like AquaWaters drawing "Afraid of These?" (
[link]. In the back it comes down to her waist and mostly hangs loose, but about half of it is in a braid down the center of her back. Her ears are also like the character in "Afraid of These?". The position is perfect, but ear shaped a little more elf like with fine bluish gray fur and wisps of fur at the tips and back edge of ear. represented well in this image (
[link]. Her right eye has two purple tear drop tattoos at the outer corner similar to if she was crying. Her left eye has a tatoo around it as well but it is hard to describe. I will try to provide a picture for reference. She has a fine bluish gray fur that starts midway up her outer thigh and comes up the sides of her stomach and back and just under the curve of her breasts on her chest, and travels along her shoulder blades to the nape of her neck and below her ears. She has straight glistening white teeth with 8 canine fangs 4 top and 4 bottom. Both her upper and lower teeth look like the fangs in this image (
[link], with the lower teeth being slightly smaller. Her fingertips/fingernails are slightly claw like. Not very long but definately sharp and dangerous.
She is an assassin so she wears a lot of darker colors. Her usual attire is black and purple leather pants with a low cut waist, with her panty line exposed high on her hips. She wears thongs. A pair of black and purple leather boots, kind of piratey looking. A black skin tight short sleeve or sleeveless low cut or halter style top leaving her midriff exposed. She also wears sexy dresses and elegant evening gowns. She loves corsets. Her space suit is tight and form fitting, reminiscent of the plug suits from Neon Genesis Evangelion. She also has a battle armor suit, but that description will have to wait for now. She wears a simple silver chain necklace. Two silver rings are on her left hand on the first and second fingers. She has one black ring on her right hand on the second finger, and one gold ring on the third finger. Six earrings in each ear all silver. From top to bottom a hoop, a diamond, a sapphire, a stud, and finally two hoops. She carries a katana across her back and a wakizashi on her left hip.
Nyx's personality is a bit confusing. She was born a princess and lived as royalty until an accident left her amnesic and in a place she had never been before. She is picked up by a mercenary who trains her and teaches her about her new world. Due to not knowing her true identity she picks up a new one. She is cautious, but tends to be a bit too trusting, especially of people in need. Despite the fact that she is a killer for hire she is very kind and caring. She is determined and and dedicated when it comes to getting things done. She is very sensual and sexual. She maintains a serious demeanor unless she is around people she trusts.
The tattoo on her left eye is a kind of claw shape. I do have a reference picture. It's not very good, just a sketch and I don't draw well. The whole tattoo is done in silver. The simple curves on the bottom left and top right are just outlined. The more complex claw shapes on the top left and bottom right are filled in. here is the link.
